Anyway after Gooachari none of the film with spycops is having engaging screenplay and over the edge story.
Thiru, the guy responsible for Story, Screenplay and Direction, delivers a mindless dud that is supposedly a spy thriller. There is no thrill in the narration. About 40% of the movie time goes into irritating comedy, unrelated romance & meaningless songs (all of which are totally unnecessary in these kind of Telugu movies). Telugu producers and Directors need to mature up from their pre-pubescent years.
I’m writing this review just because I felt other reviewers were too harsh. This telugu movie with it’s small budget made a very nice movie. This movie is for one time entertainment, people should not compare it with hollywood action movies.
This is not the hindi movie people expect from great storyline.
The movie delivered it’s entertainment through comedy, action and some hero-heroine chemistry, whether it was necessary or not is a different thing.
Seriously the movie started with very good note but mehreen character is waste for the film.
Anyway I felt sai Kiran adivi did better for operation goldfish movie.
If we ignore unnecessary comedy in the movie, it’s good and worth watching. I believe in order to encourage all types of audiences director had added Ali and comedy surrounding him, but not needed. The audience is grown up, they can stick to one genre entire movie.
Decent screenplay with good twists is an amazing combination for any spy thriller movie and Chanakya is a good hit for Gopichand who is choosing right scripts these days but I felt few songs were not necessary . Some scenes of VFX can be better but can be ignored due to the low budget. Overall 4/5
